Not pickles

Tonight while I was at work I got a call from Dan asking if people can be allergic to pickles. Um yes why..... Well he goes on to tell me that him and Riley started eating pickles and ended up eating a lot of them and drinking pickle juice. He then tells me Riley's mouth and face are covered with hives. OMG. So I told Dan to go out and buy some benadryl and that should work .
When I got home a few hours later Riley was in bed but I wanted to check on him. When I went into his room I could tell he was breathing weird. When I got closer I noticed his lips were HUGE. His tongue was also swollen. I started to panic and called some of my nurse friends who calmed me down and just told me to give him more benadryl and watch him. So that is what I did. I gave him more medicine, brought him to our room and didn't get much sleep myself because I was monitoring his breathing all night. So scary. He woke up the next morning back to normal. I guess no more pickles for Riley.

Grown up

Riley was so cute today. We were talking about boys and girls. Here is our conversation.

Me: Riley are you a boy or a girl

Riley: I am a Boy

Me: Is mommy a boy or a girl

Riley: you are a girl

Me: Is daddy a boy or a girl

Riley: He is a grown up.

I laughed so hard. How cute. He says the funniest things.

I LOVE it.
