13 months old

Wow.... does time go by fast. My little baby boy is 13 months old. He is a very busy boy who loves to play, play, play. We have so much fun with him. He is discovering new things everyday. He now is going to daycare 2 days a week and is starting to love be around the other kids. He sleeps great. Sleeps through the night and takes a good nap during the day. We are very grateful for our little boy and thank God for him everyday.

Riley's new favorite food

Riley's new favorite food is yogurt. He absolutely loves it and wants some all the time. And He wants to eat it all by himself so it makes quiet the mess.

Riley starts Daycare.

The day has come when my baby has to go to daycare. We have been so fortunate to have our family help us take care of Riley for the first year while we were working but now it is time. I have known since Riley was born that at a year he would go to daycare but I didn't realize how fast it would come. I looked around at different daycares and became sad and scared until my mom said " call Janet". Janet is a wonderful woman who has a home daycare. She lives down the street from us and the best part is I went to her house when I was little. I was so thankful and relieved when I called her and she said she would love to have Riley. So today was Riley's first day and it was still sad but I felt 110% comfortable with leaving him. I did cry as i walked out the door because he was screaming. I know it will be hard at first but I know Riley will love Janet as much as I did and still do.

The zoo

Dan and I decided that we would take Riley to the Zoo, so we loaded up and went to Seattle zoo for a family day. Riley loves the animals.

1Year Well child check

Today we had Riley's 1 year well child exam. He now weighs 19lbs and 5 oz. and is 30 in tall. He is still on the small side but growing and doing great the Dr. says. He is becoming such a little boy. He is eating all table foods and loves to use a fork and spoon all by himself. He loves to blow kisses to anyone and everyone. He is such a loving boy,. He is starting to talk a lot and although most of the words we can't understand he does say a few we can. New Words... Please, Elmo, Daisy, Duke and Deer. He can also tell you what a dog, monkey and car say. My little boy is so smart.

Virgina

We went to Virgina to visit Mom, Glenn and Frances. We had a great time. This was Riley's first airplane ride and he did great. We had a very fun and busy week. We went to Busch Gardens and went on rides, went to the zoo, went to the beach and did a lot of sight seeing but the best thing was just being with family.

The Party

We had so much fun at Riley's B day party. Family and friends came over to the house and we all had a great time. Riley had his own little blue cake and he loved it. I think he ate almost all of it.

First time in a Lake

We went to a picnic for my moms work and as soon as Riley say the Water he pointed and had a big smile on his face. He loves the water but this was his first time in a Lake. He had no fear what so ever. He ran right in and would have kept going if I let him. He loved every minute.

Riley gets his hair cut

Riley's hair has been getting very long so we decided to get it cut. And His Birthday was the perfect day. He is one now and getting to be a big boy, so we went and got him a big boy hair cut. He did so good. He didn't even cry, and neither did I. It turned out so good. We love it.

Riley's all day Birthday celebration.

Riley had a very busy Birthday. Dan and I took Riley to a Birthday Breakfast and Riley got pancakes and whip cream with a candle and the waitress sang him Happy Birthday. After breakfast we went and Riley got his first hair cut. Then Dan went to work and Riri and I played. In the afternoon my mom and I took Riley to get his pictures taken and Omi brought the birthday boy a special cake and balloons. He got to eat the cake at his pictures and he loved it. After Pictures we went to Red Robin and Riley had a birthday diner and ice cream for dessert. He also got to hear the Birthday song again. He had a very busy but fun Birthday and he loved every second of it. When we got home we took his picture at exactly time he was born.. 8:26 PM . After that he went to bed ( I think he had a sugar high). I passed out to, man what a day.
