Steriods.
Today I had my labs drawn because my blood pressure has been so high. One of the test came back abnormal so Dr. Kovanda wants to do another test and give me a medication called betamethasone. It is a steroid shot that will help the babies lungs in case I have to deliver them early. I had the same thing with Riley but it was because I was in preterm labor. The test she is doing is called 24 urine. It will check the protein levels. I have to collect all my pee for 24 hours and then turn it it. The steroid shot is one right away and then another one 24 hours later.
